Leon Hite III, also known as Coach Hite, is an energetic, innovative, passionate, inspirational speaker, author, influencer, problem solver, and a Go to Certified Master Mindset and Master Life Coach.
This “Military BRAT” has traveled and lived all over the world. He graduated from Mannheim American High School in Mannheim, Germany, where he was class president and a decorated 3 year “All Europe” sports athlete. But Leon was not a student athlete, therefore hiding his learning disability and dyslexia was unmasked but not cured. After graduation, he attended South Carolina State University, an HBCU (Historically Black College or University), and Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he was awarded a full scholarship for football. During his undergraduate career, Leon was placed on academic probation seven times, but with perseverance he later graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education. It was around this time that the young man who, as a kid, got in trouble for talking in class his entire life, began to see that God’s gifts would make room for him. Leon later went to Lindenwood University, located in St. Charles, Missouri, where he has earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching, Master’s Degree Education Administration. Coach Hite also has eight Life Coaching Certifications, and is currently seeking his PhD in Christian Counseling at New Covenant Biblical College, simply because his dad told him that Hite’s Don’t Quit!!!!
In Corporate America, Coach Hite has coached and/or trained for numerous top businesses and nonprofits such as Clayco, Girl Scouts Of America, Amgen Pharmaceuticals, Primerica, United Way, Barnes Jewish Hospital, ACN, Tech Electronics, and more. His coaching/training consists of “plays to get them through the days” such as Growth Mindset, Vision, Dynamic Leadership, Don’t Quit and Ready Set Let’s Grow!!!. Additionally, he has worked nationally with school districts such as Frisco in Dallas, Texas; Aiken School District in South Carolina; Shelby County School District in Memphis, Tennessee; and Parkway, Rockwood and Kirkwood School Districts, the three largest school districts in St. Louis County, Missouri.
His conceptualization and innovation also comes from a strong upbringing from his parents, Retired Army Command Sergeant Major Leon and Bobrie Hite. Mentors such as David Steward of World Wide Technology, Bishop Authur L. Kelly, Les Brown, John C. Maxwell, Eric Thomas, and Bishop T.D. Jakes, too, were all potters who helped mold Coach Hite into the speaking force he is today. The primary focus in Leon’s teachings is to instruct people to help uplift others and this will, in turn, uplift them. The passion that he has for people and his recognized success in inspirational speaking has led him to opportunities to coach business executives, principals, teachers and students of all ages.
Currently, Leon is Director of Safety and Security and Alternative School Administrator for the Jennings School District, a small community in St. Louis County neighboring Ferguson, Missouri, where he has served as a mentor and coach to students, staff for the past twenty years. He is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Tameka, and a loving father to their three children, Adora (16), Zoie (11), and Zion (10).
His life’s purpose is to be a HUMBLE SERVANT of others so he can reach his ultimate goal of hearing “WELL DONE MY FAITHFUL SERVANT!” (Mathew 25:21)
Onward and Upward,
